Aloha!
Yep, ULTIMATE chocolate brownies. They’re so easy to make and are scrummy. You’ll need:
5oz/ 140g dark chocolate (I find the cheaper ones the best)
8oz/225g butter
5 free-range eggs
1lb/450g caster sugar
4oz/110g plain flour
2oz/55g cocoa powder
First, Heat the oven to 190c/Gas 5/ 375F.
Melt the butter and sugar together in a pan, making sure it doesn’t stick to the bottom.
Remove from the heat and stir in the extra ingredients. For the dark chocolate, melt gently in the microwave/ hob first, but leave some lumps in. This makes it gooey. In a good way!
Line a 20cm x 30cm/8 x 12in baking tray with parchment. Bake for 30-40 mins. To check, insert a knife into the middle – the mixture should be soft but cooked. i.e. not runny.
Remove form oven and cut into squares. Voila!
Served best with cream or ice-cream on the side. Mmm brownies…
